Farondole - Bizet - Alan Beaumont

This famous movement from Bizet's highly popular suite has long been a favorite with brass bands and their audiences alike. This new arrangement now includes better percussion parts (including timpani) and some lovely grace notes for Baritone and Repiano. The Cornet section is also arranged unusually as it is written for 3 players to play the Repiano part and 2 players to play the Solo Cornet line. A wonderful effect.

Festive Frenzy - Various - Gavin Somerset

This new release is the perfect all-rounder Christmas item, perfect for your festive program. From "Troika" to "Frosty The Snowman", this piece contains several well-known Christmas songs (& a couple, not so well known). The middle section of the work is the calm stunning melody from Chris De Burgh's "A Spaceman Came Travelling". This reflective section is the perfect middle movement to this festive selection that is sure to wow audiences as you take them on a trip though the music of Christmas. Festivity March - Alan Beaumont

This march is the perfect way to open your festive programmes. Opening up with a fanfare to announce the start of a concert, the music then settles into a traditional march format with festive melodies. The Bass Solo consists of 'Ding Dong Merrily' which precedes the gentle Trio section of 'In the Bleak Midwinter' and finishing with a hint of 'Jingle Bells'. Flight of The Bumblebee - Rimsky-Korsakov - Adrian Horn

This famous work Rimsky-Korsakov has been wonderfully arranged by Adrian Horn as a real showcase feature for quartet and brass band. The quartet features your band's Cornet, Tenor Horn, Euphonium & Eb Bass players, all taking a pivotal role in this face paced and virtuosic piece. Originally written for an opera, The Tale of Tsar Saltan; this work whilst incidental in the opera, has become one of the most famous classical pieces of all time. Friend Like Me - Alan Menken - Karl Whelan

Originally sang by Robin Williams in the 1992 animated film Aladdin, Friend Like Me is high octane fun for all the band to play as well as the soloist. This highly entertaining work will get feet tapping as the organised chaos of the music flows around the soloist throughout the duration of the piece. The arrangement stays faithful to the original and with Disney's re-release of Aladdin coming next month with Will Smith in the starring Genie roll, this new fun filled solo is the perfect solo choice for all bands this year.

Friends of the Band - Ron Glynn

This lively new Concert March, "Friends of the Band", was written in recognition of those friends and supporters of all Brass Bands whose help financially and in all other ways, are invaluable in the successful running of the organisations. There is a slight hint of the song, "Dear Old Pals, Jolly Old Pals" in the first section which again embeds the feelings all players and conductors have towards our band's supporters. The work was originally composed for the Hook Norton Brass Band, when the composer's wife gave so much of her time encouraging supporters to become friends. This is a great addition to all bands' libraries and a way to pay tribute and thanks.

Ghost of Christmas Past - Trad - Jon Kenyon

This effective new arrangement creates a haunting atmosphere for your concerts, as some of the most well-loved Christmas carols are scored in a way unheard of before. Opening with God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen in a cinematic scene, the work wouldn't feel out of place on the set of a Tim Burton film score. Carols of the minor key drift though the composition and take your audience on a journey to give them something completely different and fresh for your concerts this year. At 7 mins duration, the work is a perfect Overture alternative of the Macabre kind.
