Commissioned for BrassFestUK 2017 & recorded by the Cory Band, the Spirit of Brass is an exciting, new energetic work that will fit perfectly into any concert, particularly as an opening item. With memorable themes, the composition takes its roots from that of John Williams' various Olympic themes that he has composed over the years. As well as this 'main version', there is also a youth/training band version of the work available which is more accessible to younger bands. The Verdant Braes Of Skreen - Traditional - Max Stannard

Ireland is renowned for having an almost endless list of folk tunes that have been passed down from generation to generation. Now, in a moving arrangement for the Flugel soloist, 'The Verdant Braes of Skreen' has been arranged by Max Stannard and is the perfect choice for bands and soloists looking to indulge in a little Irish culture. The title has been open to debate for some time, however it is believed that the 'Screen' refers to Ballinascreen in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland and a "Brae" is a steeped bank or a hillside. A lovely addition to any soloists repertoire.

The Victory Club - Gavin Somerset

Composed for the Stocksbridge Brass Band of Sheffield, this fast lively concert March gets its name from the club that the band rehearsed in. Written for the opening of the band's concerts at the "Victory Club" which was also home to the Stocksbridge Band Club (now, the City of Sheffield Band Club), where the weekly concerts have grown more and more in popularity.

The Wellerman - Traditional - Gavin Somerset

This traditional Whaling song went viral around the world on social media platform TikTok during the Covid-19 lockdown in early 2021. Starting with a lone voice, more and more singers & instrumentalists began adding their harmonies and improvisations to the melody until, there were literally hundreds of people all working together to create a global voice, including some big name celebrities. This release allows your band to recreate the viral hit and when back on stage, add your own choreography and optional singing with this shanty that has found a new appreciation amongst younger audiences and reflects the hard times many faced during the covid lockdown. Theme from Tetris - Traditional - Martyn C Adams

Tetris is without doubt, one of the bestselling games worldwide since its global release in the mid-1980s. Challenging the player to organise a series of falling blocks, the theme tune based on the Russia traditional song, Korobeiniki, in its electronic format, became synonymous with the hand held game. This work has now been scored in an exciting arrangement for brass band which builds and builds to an exciting finale. The music features all sections of the band and bridges the generations, working well as a fantastic finale showstopper.

Three Lions - Baddiel & Skinner - Gavin Somerset

With the European Championships this Summer, the England football team's biggest ever anthem is a great feel good piece to get your audiences in the mood. With lyrics written by comedians David Baddiel and Frank Skinner, the music was composed by the rock band the Lightning Seeds. It was originally released back in 1996 to mark 'Euro 96' which was hosted in England. This iconic theme is the perfect addition to any programme during a major football competition and is instantly recognisable as one of the most popular pieces of all time. A must for every band's library.

Three Little Maids - Arthur Sullivan - Bill Willis

The well-known aria from Gilbert & Sullivan's ninth operatic collaboration together, Mikado, is now available for band as a jolly, light-hearted cornet trio. Most people will instantly recognise the opening stanza as performed by the cornet trio, but the work holds much more. With some great detail in the inner band parts, this arrangement ensures that the work is not only a great piece for the players, but one that the audiences will love and soloists can enjoy. A must for all band's libraries.

The title "To Set The World Aglow" is a line taken from the core inspiration of the piece, the Carol 'Sweet Chiming Christmas Bells', to which the words to While Shepherds Watched are traditionally sung. With that as the inspiration, other bell-related carols are overlaid and interwoven to give a bright and jubilant setting that stands apart from a traditional Carol selection, providing an ideal Christmas concert opener full of surprises and great harmonies. If your band is after that stunning opener to make a sparkling impression on either the concert or contest stage, then look no further than this perfect Irving Berlin hit. Arranged by David Holling, the song was performed by Fred Astaire in the 1935 film "Top Hat". This piece has just about everything you could want from an opening item. From Swing to Waltz's and back again, the song has now become an American classic. A fantastic standalone item that allows a band to show off and also has the potential for choreography. A great item for any concert!
