Missa Brevis is a major work for choir and brass band for performance in church or in the concert hall. For this mass, there are many performance possibilities depending on the musicians available. In addition to the standard orchestration of choir and band a brass quartet can also play the choral parts. For this it is desirable for the brass quartet to be positioned separately from the rest of the band (on a gallery, for example), so that the idea of two choirs is heard. It is also possible to perform the work with brass band and organ. A truly flexible religious masterpiece.

Onwards with Grieg is a festive march commissioned by the Norwegian concert band, Skjold Nesttun Janitsjar, for their 115th anniversary in 2019.The famous Norwegian composer, Edvard Grieg (1843-1907), wanted a local band in his area and donated money for instruments so the band could establish in 1904.The march quotes some of Grieg's most famous works: Piano Concerto in A-minor, Triumphal March as well as his own signature interval.

Following a jolly second theme characterised by large interval jumps peace and quiet is again restored. Both themes are developed with many poignant solo figures until we reach a resounding fortissimo climax with the solo cornet performing the first theme from the back of the auditorium.
