This duet for Eb tenor horn with brass band has been skillfully scored by Tim Paton, recreating this popular melody brought to fame by singer Robbie Williams.Tim comments:At the end of 2002, Robbie Williams presented us with the song "Feel". My wife, Julie, loves Robbie Williams, she also loves playing Tenor Horn with Flixton Band, so I took this sensitive and memorable music by Guy Chambers, and arranged it as a horn duet with brass band accompaniment for her birthday in 2003. Also available as a full brass band version.

Brillante was commissioned by Peter Wilson for the British Bandsman Centenary Concert in 1987 and was first performed as a duet by Robert and Nicholas Childs. Later reworked as a solo with brass band accompaniment, it has become popular the world over - an accessible mix of sentiment and virtuosity! This new edition (2018) includes the original duet parts, the solo version, and incorporates a few small changes in phrasing to align with the concert band version also published by Winwood Music.

2246: Christmas Prelude - David's City (Noel Jones)In 2 Samuel 5, we read of David's anointing as King of Israel at the age of thirty, a reign that lasted for forty years. Bethlehem was known as 'David's city' because he was born there and worked as a shepherd on the nearby hills. Verses 1, 2 and 5 of Once in Royal David's City (C.C. 68) are featured in this Christmas Prelude. There are also brief references to the carols O come, all ye faithful and O little town of Bethlehem between verses.2247: Cornet and Euphonium Duet - This Kingdom (Stephen Bulla)Geoff Bullock's song, This Kingdom, has been made well known by the American gospel singer Ron Kenoly. Stephen Bulla wrote this duet for a Brass Spectacular concert held in Basel, Switzerland, in May 2019.2248: Wonder (Stephen Gibson)When we stop to consider the mystery of God's love for each one of us, its enormity can only cause us to wonder. The opening bars of this music create an atmosphere, using a rolling accompaniment underneath sustained, music and chromatic Cornets, setting the style for the entire piece. Occasional references to Albert E. Webber's chorus Can you wonder? are heard throughout.2249: O to love thee! (Michael Davis)This piece takes its title from the first verse of Francis Bottome's words, Precious Jesus, O to love thee! The introduction establishes the baroque form of a prelude which leads into the tune Glory to the lamb (T.B. 327). Following a brief interlude, the melody is passed through several sections of the band, with delicate countermelodies in the Flugel and Horns. The majestic ending eventually comes to rest on the final tonic chord.

Originally conceived as a trombone duet for the graduation recital of Andy Brooks at Western University, this setting of Matt Merker's popular choral work has been adapted by Noel Brooks as a featured work for trombone trio with brass band. The arrangement follows the emotional arc of the hymn's lyrics, utilising the brass band's colours to reflect the themes of each verse. The journey begins with a sense of vulnerability; the accompaniment is kept sparse and cold to echo the text's plea regarding a failing faith. In the second verse, the music transitions into a more encouraging and uplifted atmosphere, reflecting the assurance of being "precious in His Holy sight." A shift occurs in the third verse, which takes on a darker, more reflective character to support the gravity of the lyrics. This contemplative section builds steadily toward the final chorus, where a sense of confidence returns. The work culminates in a strong musical statement of the hymn's central promise: "He will hold me fast." Arranged for brass band by Lynda Nicholson Patapan is a French Christmas Carol written by the French composer, Bernard de la Monnoye (1641-1720). The words are written from the perspective of the Shepherds in Bethlehem, playing their drums and flutes at the birth of Jesus. " Patapan" mimics the sound of the drums and the scale passages on the the flutes. Patapan begins with a solo side drummer playing a punchy rhythm in 2/2 with a tambourine being added before this rhythm underpins the melody played by the full band. A section featuring the trombones follows before the main theme returns after which a short duet for Euphonium and flugal leads into a rousing final section with a Rock feel. This final section has the full band playing with the tunes in the cornets, a fast quaver movement in the middle of the band and cleverly, the melody in counterpoint in augmentation played by the trombones.
