It features the traditional Maori tune 'Hine e Hine' and the ever popular song 'Ill go in the strength of the Lord'.My Jesus I love thee (Kevin Downing)Having written a beautiful and thoughtful setting of this popular tune, this works introduces a new composer to our journals. Kevin Downing is a young American Salvationist and this piece was originally written for the National Capitol and Virginia Divisional Youth Band.Some day (1) (Kenneth Downie)A reflective yet lifting setting of the song as titled by Dr. Kenneth Downie.Trombone Solo Silent Night (2) (David Rowsell)This is a simple setting which should be accessible for most Trombone Soloists to feature within the Christmas season.Christmas Bells (Noel Jones)This collection of carols features 'Sweet chiming Christmas bells, sweet chiming bells' and 'Ding dong merrily on high!'

No. 2162 Coronation Fanfare and Intrada (Kenneth Smith)Numerous Scripture verses refer to Jesus as 'King of Kings and Lord of Lords'. In addition, he is described in Revelation 5:13, 7:10 and 21:15 as 'the Lamb who sits upon the throne'. Furthermore we're told in Philippians 2:10-11 that one day 'every knee will bow...and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord'. This arrangement celebrates Jesus' heavenly coronation, bringing together two well-known hymns inviting us to crown Jesus as King.No. 2163 Telling It! (Sam Creamer)A lively, salsa setting of Sidney Cox's well-known song, 'I want to tell what God has done'.No. 2164 The Christ of Calvary (Mervyn Clarke)This arrangement of the much-loved tune 'Annie Laurie', is often associated with Nathan Atkinson Aldersley's words to 'The Christ of Calvary'.No. 2165 Festival March - The Return (Ray Steadman-Allen)The Return was written for the occasion of Chatham corps returning to its refurbished hall.

No. 438 March - Christ is risen! (Charles Craig)This march, as its title implies, was written for Easter morning celebrations. The opening two bars states 'Up from the grave he arose' (T.B. 905). At section B, the chorus of Graham Kendrick's song, In the tomb so cold is presented. The words associated with this are:Christ is risen! Christ is risen!Death has been conquered.Christ is risen! Christ is risen!He shall reign for ever.

(Kenneth Ketteringham)This light-hearted, waltz-like solo features an old Army song written by Bandmaster George Marshall and Staff-Captain A.R. Wiggins.No. 1269 Hymn Tune Arrangement - Rockingham (Erik Silfverberg)A four-verse setting of the hymn tune, Rockingham, associated with the song 'When I survey the wondrous cross' by Isaac Watts.No. 1270 Lifted High! (Dean Jones)A bright, joyful arrangement of the song, 'Lord, I lift your name on high' in a Caribbean style.

No. 2142 Festival Arrangement - Call of the Gospel (Martin Cordner)Written for the London Central Fellowship band, this foot-tapping festival arrangement treats the chorus, 'We have a gospel' in a bright, showy style.No. 2143 Amazed! (Paul Sharman)A setting of Charles Hutchison Gabriel's song, 'My Saviour's love', to which we sing his words, 'I stand amazed in the presence' (S.A.S.B. 179). Originally written for Birmingham Citadel Band, the piece aims to follow the four verses of text and is mainly up-tempo in style, depicting the amazing fact that God loves us.No. 2144 Tu es Petrus (arr. Olaf Ritman)A setting of a madrigal by Robert Pearsall. Originally entitled 'Lay a garland', the original text was swapped for the religious Latin text, 'Tu es Petrus' (You are Peter).No. 2145 Cornet Solo - As I pray (arr. Ivor Bosanko)Major Joy Webb's song, 'As I pray' (STTL Vol. 2, part 2), is arranged here as a beautiful solo for Cornet.

(Howard Davies)Three songs (written over a period of 25 years) are drawn together in this suite as a reminder of the great expectations rightfully held by every child of God.No. 1257 Cornet Solo - Let me be a light (arr. Mervyn Clarke)A setting for Cornet and band of Major Joy Webb's song, 'Let me be a light'.No. 1258 Meditation - Were you there? (Noel Jones)This meditation on Christ's crucifixion features the song, 'Were you there?', and the chorus, 'He died of a broken heart'.

(Howard Davies)This march was written to assist celebrations for a recent Salvation Army Congress held in the Indonesian Territory. The music is deliberately written in the style of a 'parade (or street) march' with a steady and unhurried tempo.No. 425 Song Arrangement - Oi, oi, we are gonna praise the Lord! (Doug Engle)This chorus by Doug Horley uses some 'invented' words, but it clearly communicates how our response should be to a God who loves us.

No. 2134 Festival March - Troops Salute (Paul Sharman)Written to mark the retirement of Major John Mott as Bandmaster of the Household Troops Band in 2010, this march features the tunes 'Are you washed?' and 'There's only one flag for me'. No. 2135 Songs of Salvation (Andrew Mackereth)This piece was written for Haaglanden Band in the Netherlands and contains some old Salvation Army Songs; 'Ring the bell, watchman' (T.B. 776), 'Make no delay' (T.B.730), 'Room for Jesus' (T.B. 395), 'Tell me the old, old story' (T.B. 265) and 'Praise God, I'm saved' (T.B. 770).No. 2136 Shepherd's Carol (Dean Jones arr. Kenneth Downie)Originally published in November 1955, this lovely carol was written by father and son, Dean and Henry Goffin, both of whom were Salvation Army officers. Commissioner Sir Dean Goffin was awarded his kinghthood in the Queen's Honours list of 1983No. 2137 On High! (Martin Cordner)Taking its inspiration from the world of rock music, this piece features the song, 'Lord, I lift your name on high'.
