Brass Monkey's Ensemble Workout - David White
This selection of music is the perfect all-in-one workout for your training band. Each piece contained within the selection serves a definite purpose (all of which are given below and are printed in the score). The "Ensemble Workout" balances musical exercises and pieces of music to ensure that the end result is a better ensemble performance over all. Christmas Humbug - Traditional - Len Jenkins
If you were looking for something different and quirky this Christmas aA" look no further! A medley of all the best known carols from the festive period, but not as you may expect them. This piece takes you on a musical journey through different styles of music with clever bits of carols thrown in for good measure. The piece is written in 2 sections and can be played as one long through-composed suite, or each half performed separately, effectively giving you two pieces of music out of one. With a different take on the traditional Christmas medley, this jolly selection takes several well-known Christmas carols written in 6/8 time and puts them in the style of a gleeful jig. Featuring In Dulci Jubilo, On Christmas Night, I Saw Three Ships, Christ was Born on Christmas Day & Here we Come a-Wassailing, the piece is a great workout for the band, whilst audiences will struggle to remain still throughout in this lively piece.

A Carol Symphony (2nd Mov.) - Victor Hely-Hutchinson - Andrew Baker
This movement "Romance" from Hely-Hutchinson's "Carol Symphony" was used as the theme tune to the BBC's televisions adaption of John Edward Masefield story "Box Of Delights". A superb arrangement for band of a very clever orchestration of popular Christmas carols. An ideal piece for any Christmas concert. Recorded by the Cory Band on their CD 'A Festival of Fanfares & Carols'.

Cinderella (Overture) - Rossini - Julian M Blakestone
Rossini's Overtures are very distinct in their style, fanfares, heavy scoring and more memorably, the themes which he creates. For years, the Brass Band movement has enjoyed his well known "William Tell" & "Barber Of Seville" Overtures, yet the Overture to Cinderella has seemingly gone unnoticed. Now comes an arrangement by Julian Blakeston of this work, which has all the magic and excitement of his more "famous" overtures, although sadly until now has not been at the forefront of the Brass Band program.

Deep Harmony - Handel Parker - Alan Beaumont
Composed in 1854 By Handel Parker, this tune has become a favorite within the Brass Band world. Many have said that no other ensemble can perform a hymn tune quite like a Brass Band. Now this favorite has been arranged by Alan Beaumont and allows the Solo Cornet play to shine, before all the cornets join him in a fanfare whilst the hymn tune rides underneath. Suitable for any occasion.

This work has become more and more popular as the years have gone by. Recognised as the end of day ceremony, this remembrance work incorporates the hymn tune 'St Clement', known more popularly as 'The Day Thou Gavest' and the Sunset Bugle call. Originally arranged by Max Stannard for the University of Lancaster's performance at UniBrass 2014, this work is a fine addition to any band's programme.

There is little doubt in anyone's mind that Goff Richards' music enriched the Brass Band repertoire with his colourful and imaginative arrangements and compositions. Composer, Gavin Somerset was encouraged when younger by Goff, to write for Brass Bands after they had worked on an arrangement together. Following the passing of Goff back in 2011, this melodic, yet powerful work that reflected upon two of Goff's popular compositions for band, Pastorale & Country Scene, was composed. Seven years on, this work is only now being released and provides an emotional music tribute, which both players and audiences will enjoy over and over again.

Two years after the inaugural BrassFestUK event comes the anthem for 2019, 'The Essence of Brass'. Composer Gavin Somerset has revisited many of the ideas contained within the very popular work written for the inaugural BrassFestUK, The Spirit of Brass two years ago, to deliver once again, an uplifting original work for Brass Bands that will keep both players and audiences entertained. The piece opens with the work's heroic theme which has a genuine feel-good factor throughout, making this year's anthem a sure hit with all bands once again. NB. A Youth Band version is also available which works as a standalone item or alongside the senior band edition.
