Lux Aeterna - Harper, P
The title Lux Aeterna (Eternal Light) can be interpreted on a number of levels. Musically it has a rather mystical feel to it, and the single note with which the piece begins continues uninterrupted throughout, like an inextinguishable flame, or a constant source of hope. There are lyrical and song-like solo lines for cornet, flugel and euphonium. In a recent review Paul Hindmarsh described the piece as a touching new work by Philip Harper that would have got my vote for best new work for its technical ingenuity if not its 'wow factor'.Listen to Cory BandCourtesy of World of Brass

In Gardens of Peace - Harper, P
Composed to commemorate the life Henry Nichols, killed in the Battle of the Somme in 1917, the music has a peaceful tranquillity, but also a deep sense of tragedy and loss. It ends positively, with the wish that hope can come from desperation. Recorded by Glyn Williams with Cory Band.2nd section +Duration 5 minsListen to Glyn Williams (Euphonium) with Cory BandCourtesy of World of Brass

Enjoy Your Weekend! - Peter Goosensen
Enjoy your Weekend! is a fun and varied composition that offers lots of playing pleasure for both youth and smaller bands. The composition is based on a simple and pretty theme. The first part, Lazy Sunday, is built around a relaxed swinging tune. The second part, Close Friends, is more melodic and serious in nature. In Party Rock, the third part, the drummer plays a central role and the band can play their hearts out. Enjoy your Weekend!

Old Market Square - Joris Bolhaar
In the second part of the two-piece work Metropolis of the East is the Old Market, the centre point of the city of Enschede in the Netherlands. Elements such as the Great Church, the monument to the city fire of 1862, and historical events such as the textile strike can be heard in this piece, as well as the sounds of the many al-fresco cafes, the theatre Concordia, and the many festivals. This piece is coupled with The Cotton Phoenix (Alex Poelman) but functions well as a stand-alone work.

A Hairy, Scary Spider - Thomas Geerts
A Hairy Scary Spider is the second part of the musical theatre piece Welcome to Halloween. This piece can be ordered separately or as part of the complete set. The piece describes a day in the life of a hairy, scary spider. In the beginning you aren't really sure what you are looking at. Is it a ball of wool or a big shadow? It turns out to be a spider sitting happily in his web. At a certain point while the whole band is watching him carefully, he jumps which leads to an inevitable scream.

Hummel Gets the Rockets - Hans Zimmer/Erik Rozendom
This is currently the best arrangement you can find from the soundtrack to the movie 'The Rock' by Hans Zimmer! Erik Rozendom (arr At World's End) has made a masterful arrangement of the music, which was also used on the TV series 'Expeditie Robinson', seen on Dutch television.
