Big organ like chords fill the opening stanza's before the work sets off full of life with fragments of the familiar tune hinted at throughout. An American Tail Suite Composed By James Horner For the first time ever, the music from Steven Spielberg's animated story has been arranged into a full suite for brass band. With hits like "Somewhere Out There", "Dreams to Dream" and "Way Out West" all included in the suite, the music of James Horner can set emotions rolling, there is something for everyone to enjoy. With the whole concert suite lasting around 10 minutes, there are optional cuts written when if played, can cut the suite down to 6 minutes, as well as cutting out some difficult parts for lower section bands. With Wild West themes and train journey rides (and lets not forget the spoken lyrics!), this really is musical entertainment at its best

The most well-known of carols, set to William Kirkpatrick's melody, 'Cradle Song' first appeared in the late nineteenth century. It is known the world over and synonymous with the sounds of children singing this gentle, lyrical song. Arranged here as a flugel solo with warm harmonies and accompaniments from the band, this is a great addition to any Christmas concert programme.

£29.50Anchor For The Soul - Andi Cook
Commissioned by The City of Hull Band for their 2019 Brass In Concert programme, this evocative cornet and euphonium duet pays tribute to the trawlermen who lost their lives in three tragedies that took place in early 1968. The work comprises of two seafaring hymns, "Eternal Father Strong to Save" and "Nearer My God to Thee", using the tunes they are most commonly sung to in the 21st. The title of the work was inspired by the Hull seaman's mission, who in their literature describe themselves as an 'anchor for the soul' of the Humber shipping crews and their families.
