'Hallelujah' is probably the most widely known Cohen composition and has been covered many times, most notably by Jeff Buckley. This is an original piece of music composed by Oystein Olsen Vadsten, inspired by old Norwegian folk dances. "Jumpety Jump" actually started out as a "reinlender" (Norwegian Folk Dance) which origins from Rhinland. The reinlender is well disguised in this arrangement by adding the shuffle- and swing style to it. The piece is first of all meant as a "happy go lucky" tune, but is full of rhythmical and technical challenges. Its put up as a jazz-tune, first presenting the melody, then "improvisasations" by the different instrument groups, before going back to the first theme. The title "Jumpety Jump" refers to the kind of jumping feeling the shuffle groove gives.

Most Scandinavian people know Benny Borg. As a guitarist, composer, lyric writer and a show actor, he has been producing great music for many decades. His most famous songs are probably "Balladen om Morgan Kane", "En spennende dag for Josefine" and "Den store dagen". When Benny Borg made his comeback with the new album, "Den storste reisen" in 2016, he wrote some of the strongest songs of his career. Maybe the strongest one is "Good morning, my dear", that he wrote to his wife after she died.

Santiago Lope was born in Ezcaray (La Rioja, Spain) on May 23. 1871. He studied violin and composition at the Royal Academy of Music in Madrid. When the city of Valencia organized a municipal band in 1902, Lope was a leading figure. The four pasodobles: Dauder, Gallito, Angelillo and Vito are all dedicated to the star matadors of the time. Gallito is the most performed of the four, and is dedicated to Fernando Gomez Ojeda. Santiago Lope died on September 25. 1906.

Norwegian artist Jorn Hoel made his breakthrough with his album Varme ut av is released in 1987. The songs "Have a Dream" and "Hold My Hand" became big hits and still stand out as some of the most played songs even today. The music was written by Svein Gundersen and lyrics by Trygve Hoff on both of them. Jorn Hoel was awarded "Singer/songwriter of the year" for this release.

The movies from Disney have always included a lot of great music. Once Upon a Dream was written in 1959 to the musical animation movie "Sleeping Beauty", a movie produced by Walt Disney. It is based on Tchaikovsky's ballet with the same name. In the movie, the theme is dedicated to Princess Aurora and Prince Philip. Mary Costa and Bill Shirley performed the beautiful song as a duet in the original version.
