'At World's End' is the third film in the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' series. Whilst currently holding the record for the most expensive movie made at the time of release, reviews of the film were mixed and many thought it not as good as its two predecessors. However as with many films, those that have failed to impress on screen can leave behind a soundtrack that remains powerful and popular. Hans Zimmer's music for this third film pulled on the main themes used in the previous two movies with some added material. This arrangement incorporates the new themes from the film, not previously released for band and features the stunning track 'Up Is Down'. This exciting new 22-minute concert suite for Brass Sextet has been composed during the months of lockdown charting the feelings of a nation, with seven movements playable by 6 (or more) players. The music was composed with the intention for players to perform either together live in a small group, in isolation by way of a virtual performance (downloadable backing tracks are available to play along to) and ultimately, to give players something to enjoy as we all miss our brass band families. This concert suite is the perfect addition to all bands' libraries at a time when rehearsals are limited. Several of the movements are already in preparation for a full band edition to be released at a later date: (also available as a digital download worldwide - purchase now & print to play). Bands purchasing this sextet edition will be eligible for a discount on the upcoming full brass band edition of the concert suite. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Movement 1: FANFARE: The Call of the Band - CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD PLAYBACK TRACK This opening fanfare gives way to a full of life and energy. With catchy melodies and harmonies, it is an effective opening to any concert programme and the perfect way to begin the Suite. A laid back swing number that should be played in an as relaxed manner, as possible!Movement 5: Hymn for Carers (Dedicated to the NHS & Care Workers) - CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD PLAYBACK TRACK Dedicated to the NHS & Care Workers, this hymn tune is filled with emotional highs and lows, felt by many of the hospital and care staff who worked tirelessly to keep our people safe, with a timely nod at the end to Vera Lynn & our missed VE day commemorations. Movement 6: Army of the Keyworkers - CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD PLAYBACK TRACK A stirring work in 12/8 which rightfully, depicts our heroes who kept the country moving through the most difficult of times. £44.50Magnificat - John Rutter - Gavin Somerset
John Rutter's Magnificat (Magnificat anima mea), first performed in 1990, opens with bold fanfares and syncopation which captures the listeners attention from the very first note. The work was originally composed for chamber orchestra and SATB choir. The SATB parts are also included in the score with this publication allowing bands if they wish, to perform with work alongside a full choir. Transcribed directly from the composers original score, Rutter's music is full of strong melodic lines and gorgeous harmonies. Full of hair raising moments, it lends itself perfectly to Brass Bands and this opening movement is a must have for bands wanting to add something new and challenging to their classical repertoire.

£24.50Open All Hours - Wellington Guernsey & Joseph Ascher - John Lee
The theme tune from one of Britain's iconic comedy shows is in fact, an old tune entitled 'Alice, Where Art Thou' composed by Joseph Ascher, a Dutch composer and pianist. The opening title sequence of the show heard brass arranger, Max Harris performing his own version of the tune, who also composed the incidental music for the show. This light-hearted release coincides with the release of the new Open All Hours series starring David Jason who now runs the corner shop years later. A great easy going summer concert item and one that audience members will truly enjoy.(also playable by training bands)
