This march was written for the Loddon brass band as their signature march. This commission was undertaken in 2007 and is an example of a standard contest march. One of the main inspirations for this composition was the reading of the role of lost servicemen and women during the remembrance day service. The phrase was later used "Loddon the brave" which has been used in the rhythm of the main theme of the piece.

Programme Notes from Andrew Duncan:Like many of the arrangements in the Flexi-Collection - Popular Classics Series I have simplified the rhythms and time signature, etc. I have also omitted trills for ease of playing.Dynamics form a very important aspect of this arrangement and it is important to observe these, especially the p markings. Every dynamic from p through to ff is used as well as some crescendos.The 1st Cornet/Trumpet part is perhaps more difficult than in some of the other arrangements in the series, but the other parts are fairly simple in comparison.The Percussion part (which is optional) is unusual in that it calls for two 'Anvils' to be played. Bring Me Sunshine is a song written in 1966 by the composer Arthur Kent, with lyrics by Sylvia Dee. It was first recorded by The Mills Brothers in 1968, on their album My Shy Violet. In the UK, the song is synonymous with the popular comedy duo Morecambe & Wise, after it was adopted as their signature tune in their second series for the BBC in 1969. Christopher Bond provided a beautiful instrumental arrangement for brass band.

This song is taken from the 6th album by Norwegian band Kaizers Orchestra. Together with "Opma till You Die", this one is the bands biggest hit. It was released as single record in 2010. After that, several other Norwegian artists have made their own versions both on stage and record. This arrangement in 12/8 time signature tries to capture the sound and rhythmic drive of the original song. Watch the dynamics and balance between the different elements. The guitar and bass parts are optional.

Where Angels Fly was commissioned by VLAMO (Flemish Band Association). Kevin Houben wrote this work for the 2017 European Brass Band Championships in Ostend, Belgium. This is a very technical, powerful and virtuosic work with a rather fragile and soft introduction in which the main motif derived from the Belgian composer Paul Gilson's (1865-1942) La Priere from Le Retour au Pays is developed and also includes Houben's own musical signature 'HBE(N)'. Where Angels Fly is a challenging, impressive and virtuosic contest piece.
