When Worlds Collide (Score Only)
Subtitled: Little Green Men in Intergalactic Spaceships with Ray-Guns and Phasers, A Space Symphony for Brass band. Written for the free choice test piece for Brass Band Buizingen for the Flemish Open Brass Band Championships. When Worlds Collide seeks to recreate the atmosphere and sentiment of the American cult Sci-Fi movies of the 1950's such as Robert Wise's 1951 film 'The day the Earth Stood Still' and 'Invasion of the Body Snatches' directed by Don Siegel in 1956, as well as Rudolph Mate's 1951 film 'When Worlds Collide'. It is programmatic with subtitled sub-sections as follows: Crop Circles; Lights in the Sky; Strange Happenings; Sightings; "We Come in Peace"; Alien Abduction; Analysis of the Earthlings; Teleportation; New Understandings; Visions of Far Off Worlds; Colonisation.

Carol of the Bells (Brass Band - Score and Parts) - Leontovych, Mykola Dmytrovich - Hannevik, John Philip
Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontyovich composed this famous Christmas Carol in 1914. The carol is based on a folk chant called Shchedryk. The composer was a supporter of the independence movement in Ukraina, and was assassinated by a Soviet agent in 1921.The carol was made famous after the adaption by Peter J. Wilhousky in 1936. Wilhousky worked as an arranger for the NBC symphony orchestra. It is also well known from popular culture, like the film Home Alone (1990), and a version by the vocal group Pentatonix.Duration: 2.30

An original composition for brass band by Martyn Brabbins.This work was created by Brabbins early in his career and combines his creativity and passion for the sounds of brass bands . It is one of two compositions from that era (the other being There and Back) which have now been given a new lease of life and made available to the general public through The Music Company (UK) Ltd.With great chords, sounds and unexpected bursts of energy, the work lasts just 1 48, making it ideal to be positioned as an attention grabbing opener or a contrasting interlude to greatly enhance the interest of a concert.The brass band version was originally premiered by The Dalmellington Band at The Cumnock Tryst 2017, and the Symphonic Wind Orchestra adaptation was performed by The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra in 2019.Available here for brass band. Ralph Vaughan Williams Tuba Concerto was written in 1953/4 in response to an invitation to compose a work for the Golden Jubilee of the London Symphony Orchestra. Vaughan Williams was by then in his eighty-second year. The lively, outer movements both conclude with extended cadenzas, while the beautifully lyrical Romanza is Vaughan Williams at his best. Phillip Littlemores brass band arrangement is a welcome addition to the brass band repertoire. Suitable for Championship Section Bands. Duration: 15.00

Ceremonial Fanfare (Brass Band - Score and Parts) - De Meij, Johan
The Ceremonial Fanfare was originally written for orchestral brass and percussion, commissioned by The Orchestra Osaka Symphoniker from Osaka, Japan. The world premiere performance took place on April 12, 2005 at The Symphony Hall in Osaka, conducted by maestro Heiichiro Ohyama.In April 2009, the combined brass sections of the New York Philharmonic and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra gave an impressive performance in New York City. The concert commemorated the Henry Hudson Quadricentennial and 400 years of friendship between The United States and The Netherlands. This version for brass band was written at the request of EBBC, the European Brass Band Contest 2012in Rotterdam, to serve as the opening fanfare of the festival.Duration: 4.30
