Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing.Dedicated to Nicholas Childs and the Black Dyke Band, Heroes pays tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing and the incredible achievements of astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins.The piece is cast in three continuous sections:Ignition, which launches the work, propels us into orbit with dynamic rhythmic writing before transitioning into the second section...Tranquility, provides the soloists an opportunity to revel in a contrasting sound world, reflecting the remarkable quiet and stillness of The Sea of Tranquility.Return, the find section is a technical tour de force, developing material from the earlier sections before a reprise of the Tranquility theme brings the work to a resounding conclusion.

No. 2154 Cornet Solo - The victory cry! (Andrew Blyth)This solo features the popular song by Stuart Townend and Keith Getty entitled 'Power of the Cross', along with an original song by the composer, 'The Cross of hope'. It was originally written at the request of Staff Bandsman Gerry Todd and the Melbourne Staff Band.No.2155 Mission Force (Stephen Bulla)This is programmatic music, portraying the determination and forward vision of the modern church's mission. It includes two well-known hymns, 'Trentham' (T.B.159) and 'Slane' (T.B.831), using their words as metaphors that describe this quest into a spiritual future.No.2156 Prelude on 'Lavenham' (Geoffrey Nobes)An arrangement of a hymn, written by the composer with words by Reverend Nick Fawcett. The three statements of the melody correspond to three verses of the hymn and seek to reflect their meaning.No. 2157 On we march (Kevin Larsson)This piece was written for the Pasadena Tabernacle Band for their 120th anniversary. It includes a number of tunes closely connected with the Corps including 'Everything's coming up roses' from Gypsy, a song closely associated with the Rose Parade, and 'Hooray for Hollywood' as the Corps was previously called Hollywood Tabernacle. Continuing on the Rose Parade theme, 'On we march' (T.B.788) and the well-known hymn tune, 'Rachie' (T.B.190), are also featured.

Luftforsvarets jubileumsmarsj - Frode Thingnaes
Frode Thingnaes was one of the "Grand Old Men" of the Norwegian Military Bands. This march was commissioned by the Norwegian Air Force to it's 50 years anniversary in 1994.There was a wish tht the march should give associations to Glenn Miller, a wish that Thingnaes put into the trio part of the march in the most elegant manner.

Andrew Batterham's tour de force Trumpet Concerto showcases the incredible spectrum of emotions the trumpet can convey, in the hands of a dedicated performer. The music ranges from Classical to minimalism, ballads to fanfares, culminating in a wild dance full of stamina and energy. Commissioned by ABC Classic through the ABC Fresh Start Fund, Concerto was premiered by David Elton, Principal Trumpet with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra (previously with London Symphony Orchestra). This brass band version was premiered by David and Victoria Brass, conducted by Matt van Emmerik. The original trumpet with strings, and trumpet with piano versions are available from Wirripang publishers. March Barnes Wallis was commissioned by Royal Air Force Music Services to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the famous Dambuster's raid and received its first performance on BBC Radio 2's Friday Night is Music Night, broadcast live from Biggin Hill Airport on 17 June 2013 by the Central Band of the RAF, Director of Music Wing Commander Duncan Stubbs.Additional transposed parts are available to download from the website.

Additional Score: 24.95Rameau Revisited takes themes from the operas and keyboard works of the great Baroque composer Jean-Phillipe Rameau and recasts them to exploit the various colours of the modern brass band. The two outer movements, Marche and Tambourin are tour de force display pieces for the full ensemble while the three inner movements, Rondeau, La Joyeuse and Danse showcase the horn, cornet and lower brass sections in turn.

This extended fanfare was written for the Royal Air Force Bomber Command Commemorations, 2012. The prototype Avro Lancaster bomber was launched into the skies in 1941 and proved to be a significant factor in winning the Second World War. Its slender silvery outline led it to be known as the Shining Sword.This musical tribute has featured extensively in Bomber Command commemorations especially at the opening of their Memorial, in London's Green Park, a fitting tribute to the 55,573 crew member who lost their lives during WW2.Duration: 2:00

The Keystone Kops was a series of silent comedies featuring an incompetent group of policemen. They first appeared in the 1912 film Hoffmeyer's Legacy but it was the 1913 feature The Bangville Police that confirmed their popularity. The Keystone Kops were renowned for making mistakes, particularly with a great deal of energy and activity, and all done with a major lack of coordination.
