This is a real classic of Christmas and is so joyous that every member of the band has a smile when they finish playing it! It has been scored for full brass band with percussion and lasts for less than two minutes. It makes a fantastic opening showpiece to any half of a Christmas concert.

A Fantasia On Scarborough Fair By Joseph Knight
The one piece of major folk music that Vaughan Williams missed seems to be Scarborough Fair! I have tried to make this omission good. This is done very much in the same style as Vaughan Williams, Holst or Butterworth. It includes features for each section of the band and also a 6/8 over 3/4 section.

Loch Lomond - Andrew Duncan
A great arrangement of this Scottish classic 'anthem'.Opening with beautiful tranquility of the familiar melody, led by a solo line on the Flugelhorn. The piece then develops and grows into a rousing, up-beat rendition with further growth and counter-melodies through to its full-on closing. With optional bagpipes and/or electric guitar parts, this is a super tribute to a classic melody.Look and Listen (performance courtesy of Kingdom Brass 2012, includes addition of a sung verse to further engage the audience):

A feature for the Bass Section with Brass Band. This is a chance for the bass section to display their talent!A short introduction for the four basses on their own. Then, after this humourous introduction, the piece immediately moves into the Cossack style music, where the bass section play a major part. Great fun for both band and audience!

The Bare Necessities - Terry Gilkyson
A superb arrangement by Jon Bennett of this Disney favourite from The Jungle Book. It's been arranged here as a duet for two Eb Basses (or Eb/Bb Bass as an alternative) with brass band.Even just the concept of the scoring lends itself to being a piece with excellent entertainment value! When coupled with the expertise of the arranger's musicality, this is a feature which will definitely be well received by your band and audiences alike.

Wired - Lucy Pankhurst
A fantastically funky piece! So good it was featured on BBC television during the 2010 general election campaign coverage for the North West and at the 2014 International Women's Brass Conference.Originally written in 2009 for Jason Katsikaris and the Leyland Band, Lucy Pankhurst has created a vivacious, energetic work which is strong on percussion and style! It's fast-moving, completely engaging and makes for compulsive toe-tapping and the need to 'get into the groove'! Huge opportunities for the kit player/percussion section to show their wild side and, so as not to be outdone, plenty of other moments for improvisation-esque solos from other quarters. If you can keep up, this is a really great contribution to your concert programme.Look and Listen (performance courtesy of Oslofjord Brass from their appearance at the 2010 Grenland International Brass Festival 2010):
