2015 National Championships Regional Testpiece - 4th Section. Extra Score only. This set of variations was composed for the ISB's tour of Australia, New Zealand and Japan in 1995. Handel's majestic tune is associated with the great resurrection hymn 'Thine is the glory, risen, conquering Son' and melodic fragments of the tune form the basis of the four variations. The tune is heard in its entirety at the beginning and near the end and the piece finishes with a vigorous coda. Duration: 13:00

Four Easy Dances Brass Band (Score & Parts)
Four Easy Dances' is a four-part suite from Gobelin's 'Flexy Band Collection'. This series is meant for starter ensembles, i.e. youth orchestras which may not have the full range of instruments available yet. Therefore, it is possible to combine various instruments. 'Four Easy Dances' comes from the 'Flexy 3 Series' and can in principle be played by only three instruments, completed with three percussion instruments. 'Four Easy Dances' consists of: 1. Hop, Skip and Jump, 2. Little Polka, 3. Spanish Dance (castanets are obligatory) and finally 4. Tango. 04:15

!!I Vow to Thee My Country. Originally for unison voices with orchestra, Holst adapted it as a hymn tune and called it Thaxted , named after the village where he lived for many years. Because of the sentiment in the words it has now become a staple of Remembrance services.The American Composer, Geoff Knorr, incorporated Holst's music into his score for the strategy-based video game Civilisation, where it is used to depict the England of Elizabeth I. Latin Dance Party Brass Band (Score & Parts)
In 'Latin Dance Party' William Vean takes us along to sunny, seemingly care-free places. Happy faces, catchy music, delicious drinks are images that come to mind when listening to this 'feel good' music which will either get you in a dreamy mood or make you want to step out onto the dance floor. To start we hear the first dance of Cuban origin 'Cha Cha Cha', cheerful, romantic, playful dance . The Cha Cha Cha is probably the most popular dance. Then we have the slower 'Bossa Nova' (new wave), a dance developed from the Samba rhythms with strong syncopation. We end with the 'Samba'. Samba is party. Holst's suite The Planets was written between 1914 and 1916 and with the exception of Mercury, which was written last, Holst wrote the music in the sequence we hear them. So, in 1914, came the insistent rhythmic tread of Mars, The Bringer of War. It is widely known that the sketches were completed prior to the outbreak of the First World War, so the music is less a reaction to the declaration of war itself, but more an impending sense of inevitability of a war to unfold.
