£24.99The Wellerman New Zeland Trad. Arr. Joseph Knight
This is a traditional New Zeland Folk Melody circa 1820 - 1830. From 1833 onwards, the Wellermen, on ships owned by Weller Brothers of Sydney, supplied provisions to New Zealand shore whaling stations from their base at Otakou. This melody has been arranged by Joseph Knight for full brass band with Drum Kit and Glockenspiel. It is written for fourth section bands and above, although it could be used with a better youth band. A real audience pleaser!

This is a great little Christmas number that is easy to get together. It starts with a simple quartet setting of the carol, it then moves into the full band playing the piece. Then there is a minor, slightly Russian setting of the music, before it moves into a 3/4 waltz setting back in the tonic key. It then moves back 4/4 for the final setting of the carol with a full final verse before moving back to a quartet for the ending.

This famous traditional Irish melody has been arranged and described as "Three verse variations". Building up from the beginning to a huge climax at E where the whole band explodes into the gorgeous theme. Sure your make the hairs on your neck rise!

Recognised as the end of day ceremony, this remembrance work incorporates the hymn tune 'St Clement', known more popularly as 'The Day Thou Gavest' and the Sunset Bugle call. A wonderful arrangement of this traditional tune. Complete with an option to include some choreography in the form of a dance routine. Although not much is known about this Scottish folksong (also called "Wi' A Hundred Pipers"), this is certainly a lively piece and is to be enjoyed as much by the band playing it as the audience listening to it.
